Soccer Star

We decided to let Lexie try out a soccer program through the YMCA since she has been talking about wanting to play soccer now for a while. (Don't ask me what we were thinking with the baby only weeks away, but she is excited to play...and we are excited for her!) Lucky for us it is held indoor in case of inclement weather (which just so happened to be on the very first day. Needless to say, she is loving it!

Lexie, the day Russ purchased all of her soccer gear. Do you think she is excited to play or what?

On her first day of soccer at the YMCA...she was in heaven!

Treats no tricks

It was finally getting dark...and Lexie pronounced "It's dark--I can finally go trick or treating!!!!!" She has been asking to go trick or treating everyday for about the last two weeks. Ever since I finished her costume...she has been begging to go--begging! We made sure the girls were nice and bundled up and headed out on our spooooky adventure!

Listening intently to the rules, with glo sticks in hand
This little cookie was ready to trick or treat
And we're off

Our first stop was the Egan's house---it wouldn't be as much fun with out our friends!
Trying to stay warm
Mr. Rege was dressed up and had his garage decorated for trick or treat
We just love Mr. Rege
Frozen solid, but still having a great time
To infinity---and beyond!
Can't wait until next year...I'm already thinking of fun costumes to make!!!

A Spook-tacular Parade

It wouldn't be Halloween in Marion Estates without a parade! This year, I spear headed the event and coaxed Mr. Rege out into the cold to brave the elements by leading the parade. The kids loved getting to put on their costumes and see their friends all dressed up. We walked around the little loop, and when it was over, most of the parade goers made their way over to our house for a pizza party. It was a great time---I hope to have the video of it up soon so keep checking back! Special thanks to the Nicastro family for the video!!!

Who is that masked man/witch???
Lexie with her buddy Buzz Lightyear---err...I mean Cole
Baby Elias makes the cutest Monkey
Tomi as a Ladybug
Olivia checking out the "situation"
Best costume--and I've never watched an episode of Jersey Shore

Pumpkin Patch Preschoolers

Lexie was so upset when I told her she wouldn't be going to school. She quickly rebounded when I told her that we would be meeting her teachers and classmates at the pumpkin patch instead. She could barely contain herself! I don't know who was more excited! The whole family was invited along, and luckily Russ was able to get enough sleep during his overnight shift--and a few hours prior to heading up to the farm--so he was able to go with us! It was a bit windy, and there was definitely a nip in the air, but the sun was shining, and the kids were thrilled!

Lexie was having a ball trying to find the perfect pumpkins
I think this one is perfect for you momma!
Olivia was getting into the spirit too
Pausing for a moment to pose for a picture
Don't know who was having more fun
"ohhh, I think I found my pumpkin"

Fall Ball

We have been TRYING to plan a day to play Montour Heights CC for weeks! Between Russ' schedule, babysitting issues, and the dreaded unpredictable weather...we were FINALLY able to get out to see what this course had to offer. What was even better...our neighbors joined us--oh yeah--and it was FREE!

A picturesque view from the green looking back toward the clubhouse!
A little passing shower...rained it self out pretty quickly and didn't ruin our outing!

Alan getting ready to TEE iT UP!
Looking for his ball...opps...so much easier to find it when you are in the fairway...though, I wouldn't know much about that today!
Scenic views and KILLER fast greens!

That green is far...far away!
Gretel going for the green!
Can you say "elevation change"? We went from one hole going straight down, and the next was straight up!
What great fun...great friends...and so so golf! Two out of three isn't bad!
