Pumpkin Patch Preschoolers

Lexie was so upset when I told her she wouldn't be going to school. She quickly rebounded when I told her that we would be meeting her teachers and classmates at the pumpkin patch instead. She could barely contain herself! I don't know who was more excited! The whole family was invited along, and luckily Russ was able to get enough sleep during his overnight shift--and a few hours prior to heading up to the farm--so he was able to go with us! It was a bit windy, and there was definitely a nip in the air, but the sun was shining, and the kids were thrilled!

I think this one is perfect for you momma!
Olivia was getting into the spirit too

Weekend at Nini's

Since one of my very good friends from High School was getting married (and I was in the wedding) we loaded up the Suburban and headed to Canton. The first stop was GG and Gpa's since Nini was working. The girls love going to GG's house (sorry grandpa...that's what Lexie calls it). Who wouldn't...they get spoiled rotten! Anyways, they were kind enough to agree to watch the girls while Russ and I got ready for the rehearsal dinner! Next it was off to Nini's for a weekend packed with lots of fun activities!!!

Rise and shine...it's time to play Nini!!!
Thanks for capturing this adorable picture mom!!! Our two little cuties side by side with smiles...well almost smiles!

Lexie with Aunt Allie at the pumpkin patch~this place looked like a ton of fun!!! Wish I could have gone!
Petting some animals...
...and more animals
Running through some corn
This is how it all begins...if I hear "but I want a pony for Chirstmas", I am sending her to you Aunt Allie!!!
Lexie on the train...
...apparently she LOVED the train!
"What do you mean I have to wait in line???"

Thanks for a great weekend Aunt Allie, Unlce Marcus, Nini, GG and Gpa!!!!

Punkin' pickin' on her BIRTHDAY!!!

It was a beautiful day to celebrate a special first birthday and to pick a perfect pumpkin! After a big breakfast, we packed up and headed to Janoski's Farm. Here are a few pictures from Lexie's special first birthday~

We just arrived at the farm and are ready to have some fun!

Lexie and I patiently waiting our turn for the hay ride out to the pumpkin patch.

Finally...There's the pumpkin patch!!!

Lexie can hardly wait, but is enjoying the ride!!

Lexie gets down to business!!! She carefully inspects the prospects...in search for the perfect pumpkin!!!

After searching and searching, and searching some more...she finds HER perfect pumpkin.

She likes this one so much that she decided to try to lift it herself! (It weighed 4 lbs!!!)

With the pumpkin picking complete...we headed off to the corn maize! Bad idea! We kept getting lost! No joke!

Then it was off to the hay jumping tent!

As if you couldn't tell...she had a BLAST...and found a little friend!!!

After a "ride" on the 'Cool Bus'...

...we measured up next to the big pumpkin...

...and stopped to smell the flowers!

We had so much fun at the farm, but it was time to head home so Lexie could take a nap! She had to be alert and awake for her phone and video call from her dada!!! We finally got the skype to work for more than 5 minutes so we were able to see and talk to Russ for over 20 minutes! It was the best birthday present of all!!!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY CHUPES!!! You have brighten our world more than you will ever know! We love you so very much!

What a difference a year makes!!!
