Off To The Races

Just when we thought she was never going to stay on her stomach long enough to crawl, she proved us wrong.  Yesterday while we were unpacking a few more boxes, I came into the bedroom to find Lexie pushed up on her hands and knees.  While, she didn't take off and crawl across the room, it is a start!  

1st Trip to the Park

We finally stayed home long enough to enjoy the neighborhood and nice weather so I decided to take Lexie to the park.  After slathering her with the highest SPF known to man, we set off on our adventure.  

We hiked through some of the trails and found our way to the play yard. Her eyes immediately fixated on the BIG RED SWING!!!  I think she would have stayed in there for hours if I would have let her!!!

We took a break from the sun and headed for some shade where Lexie made a few friends while she enjoyed her lunch.  A couple of dogs had gotten loose from their owner and found their way to Lexie's toes!  

She really enjoyed the trip but was exhausted!!!  We came back home and she slept like a log!!  

Just another day

I couldn't resist!  As construction nears its completion...or so we are told by the builder, Lexie and I spent a day in our room playing and being silly to avoid the wicked paint fumes, while Russ washed the cars!  I think I got the better end of the deal there!
During a break to change her diaper, Lexie quickly grabbed my sunglasses while I went for the camera!  I couldn't pass up the opportunity!  While she didn't put them on herself, I still think it made for a pretty cute picture!  
We still aren't crawling quite yet...I don't know that she will anytime soon!!!  Anytime we put her on her stomach...within seconds she instantly rolls over onto her back and tries to sit up, sometimes making it on her own!  She has started pulling herself up however, but no movement past that.  Russ and I are thinking she may skip the whole crawling thing and go straight for the walking!   I am half tempted to sit her back down...while I am excited for these next milestones, she is growing up tooooo fast! :)

We've Moved

I'm sure most of you know by now that we have moved to Pittsburgh.  After living in a hotel for about two months, we finally moved into our new home two weeks ago...only to have construction workers here every day since.  It has been an adjustment for all of us, but we are doing well.  Lexie is sleeping through the night and most of the construction during her daytime naps!!!  What more can you ask for???  (Except an end to all the construction so we can get this place cleaned up for some visitors!!!)  The builder and crews have been wonderful and they are working long hours to get this place finished!  It looks as though by the end of the week we will saying good-bye to the workers and the mess-that is until we start to finish the basement!! :)  I for one, am looking forward to our first relaxing weekend in our new home!  (It seems as though we have been all over the place the last few weekends and have plans every weekend until mid May!)

Russ and I are thrilled with our new home and Lexie really seems to be enjoying having a room all to herself.  We are looking forward to having everyone over very soon, so please accept this as your official invite...though you certainly don't need one!
