Easter Weekend

As our travels continue before we welcome baby number 2, our next stop put us in the greater Philadelphia area for the Easter Weekend. Becky and Molly picked us up Friday at the airport and we headed to Grandma Barbara's house. Once we were there the girls played for a while on Russ and Becky's old slide. (Now Russ is convinced we need to make one!!)

Lexie is taking her turn on the slide...
Unfortunately, Becky and Molly had to leave around the time Lexie went down for a nap, but we were so glad they were able to play for a little while! We enjoyed a leisurely day and visited with Grandma and Great Grandma. Shortly after dinner we cleaned up Lexie and got her ready for bed.
Even in her pajamas she was sliding....

...and sliding! It was a real hit! (Maybe she isn't too little for a big swing set after all!)

Sunday rolled around and we all got dolled up for church. We met up with Becky, Brad, Molly and Kristin for a pancake breakfast at the church before the service started. While we were listening to the sermon, the girls played in the nursery with all the other little ones. I guess a "not so little boy" plowed into Lexie while she was playing with a Thomas Train car and knocked her down and yep, you guess it...she hit her head! (You should have seen the look on Russ's face when the caretaker told Russ the story...he looked as though he was going to chase down the little boy that did this to his little baby girl!!!) We kept a close eye on her the rest of the day since she fell asleep shortly after the incident.

Lexie looked so cute in her Easter dress with her hair all done up!!!

She sat so still for me while I did it!

We didn't even make it to the church before she had the one side pulled out...oh well, she still looked as cute as could be!

Lexie loved petting Bailey with Uncle Brad and Aunt Becky...she just LOVES dogs! Even BIG ones!

More love for Bailey!

She was so tired after church she could barely keep her eyes open while she ate...but Grandma really wanted to have an egg hunt. Needless to say, Lexie didn't make it for the egg hunt, but was into it after her nap!

Still a bit confused...(before her nap)

Molly and Lexie "pose" for a few pictures before Lexie headed for a nap and the Houchins for round 2 of Easter. (Lexie was all about the slide...and not so much the picture!)

I managed to get this picture before the girls slid down the slide with delight!

Molly all dressed up in her dress from Mimi Barbara and ready to slide!

Lexie with Dadda...I think at this point she was delerious!
We finally put Lexie down for her nap while Molly opened her Easter gifts.
I was able to capture a video of Becky putting on a braclet that "Mimi" (Grandma Barbara) made for Molly...make sure you click the button to hear what Molly thinks about her new jewlery!!!

After a couple of quick pictures...

...Molly posed in her second Easter outfit, then she was off to visit with her other "Mimi".

Brad looking so dapper in Molly's Easter hat!

After all the fun and laughing (and a slight concussion) the morning brought, we had to wake Lexie up at 4PM from her nap! She was READY TO GO!!! She looked for eggs with daddy and blew bubbles with Donna and Brian. After dinner (and watching the Masters) she thought she would give golfing a try!

Uncle Walt shows Lexie how it is done! FORE!!!!!!

She took some time out to read ....

...then it was off to bed...but not before she made her rounds to give EVERYONE a kiss goodnight!

Hope everyone enjoyed the Easter Holiday as much as we did!
