Torrey Pines

Debbie and I decided to send our husbands to Golf School at one of the most prestigious courses on the west coast. Home to PGA and LPGA events, Torrey Pines is known around the world for its breath taking views and challenging layout.



I wasn't able to keep it a surprise to Russ (long story) but Debbie was able to keep it from Michael...that is until he found his golf shoes in their suitcase. So Sunday after we got back from Disney, before we headed out to dinner, Debbie decided that it was time to let the rest of the cat out of the bag!



Needless to say, I think Michael was PLEASED with his surprise!

Their day started with a 12:15 check in...though I think they arrived much earlier to check out the pro shop and get "warmed up". They were scheduled for a 90 minute lesson followed by as much golf as they could stand! The golf pro joined them on the course for the first 4 holes, to help them put to practice the tips and tricks he taught them, then they were on their own. Looks like they had a great time, and they couldn't have asked for better weather...though Russ could have asked for more shade (or to remember to have put sunscreen on his legs!!! OUCH!).

Turkeytime in Texas

I know it has been a while...a LONG while since I have updated the blog, but it isn't for lack of trying! Long story short, I would create a post and it wouldn't save before I posted it and lost everything. SOOOOO in the interest of time, I am going to just post a bunch of pictures until I get caught up! Russ and I took the girls to meet my dad, Jennifer and Granny for dinner! They were angels the ENTIRE time...and we were there for a while! The food was great, kids were behaved...could you ask for anything more?

Silly and Serious!

Lexie has a new Dora visor, thanks to our wonderful neighbors the Egans! They brought it for her since she now has her own golf clubs! She is officially "a part of the club"! Thanks a bunch guys!!!

I had to include this picture! Lexie has been putting her shoes on herself now for a little over a month. She doesn't always get them on the right feet, but it just amazes me every time she tries! She has a little trouble with these shoes...but just look at the concentration in that gorgeous little face of hers!

Since Lexie's favorite playmate (our neighbor's son Cole) is the next Tiger Woods in training...Russ decided to pick up a set of clubs for Lexie. No...he didn't bother to get her the Fisher Price plastic set that most kids start out with...instead, he bought her REAL clubs (sorry Pawpa...I guess Dadda beat you to the punch...if you are itching to buy a new set of clubs for someone, I would gladly volunteer to be the recipient!!!)

Though she requires a little bit of help because the clubs are a bit heavy for her...she is catching on pretty quickly!
